River Tay is famous for
its salmon fishing - the UK record was caught here, a monster of 63lbs!
Loch Tay is a popular
venue for boat fishing - mostly trolling, but also fly-fishing.
Trout and coarse

Unlike England and Wales you do not need an Environment
Agency Rod Licence, but you must get a permit from the owner or club. The Tay
system is covered by a Protection Order which means that it is patrolled by
bailiffs who enforce this law.
Fly-fishing, spinning and worm fishing are
all available. If you don't have your own tackle you can hire it from local
shops.
