The Millennium Association joined "Perthshire in Bloom" in the summer of 1999. We are very fortunate to have a superb backdrop to begin with and a start has been made.

Stuctures were set up to hold hanging baskets on the Green near Kenmore Bridge, in the turning circle beside Kenmore Primary School and in the centre of Acharn. An old boat was placed at the side of the Post Office and filled with plants.

The children of the Primary School planted daffodil and crocus bulbs which will flower year after year.
This year an additional support for hanging baskets was made by the local blacksmith and set up beside the reading room in the centre of Kenmore village.

In addition to the tubs places at the Church last year, this year another eight tubs were purchased and planted in the village square, two at the entry to Balnaskeag, and six in the centre of Acharn
