The Breadalbane Millennium Association was formed in 1999 (rather late) in order to organise and celebrate the millennium and to assist in promoting local businesses and tourism. Breadalbane is the name given to Highland Perthshire (Scotland). It covers a vast area in terms of size. Out activities are concentrated on the villages of Kenmore and Acharn, but we also try to include neighbouring villages such as Fortingall, Fearnan, Dalerb and Ardtalnaig.

The Association is made up of anyone who is interested in helping in the area. To date our activities have included organising the hogmanay hooly which went with a real bang. We are also active in the environmental improvement scheme for the Kenmore village square and we are planning to open a new heritage centre. Local walks for visitors have been developed and we are looking at more projects. We are also active members of Perthshire in bloom in our attempts to make this the most beautiful historic village in Scotland

(PS its working!)
