The primary school is the heart of the village. Many highland villages have lost their local schools, but we are lucky to have kept ours. Part of the school was originally funded by the community Over the last few years many changes have taken place. Over £6,000 was raised at a public auction to fund computers for the pupils, and in Spring 2001 a new extension was opened. The school now has three full classrooms, office space for the headmistress and secretary, allowing the old office to be used as a staff room and ramps etc. have been fitted throughout to enable disabled access for pupils and the community. |
